Lucy Ann Moll is a biblical counselor. . .
As a child I knew emotional pain. I leaned toward girls like me. Quiet, shy, invisible girls. Girls with hurts. Cancer and such plagued other families. Mine? Mental illness.
After I sunk into a black hole in my early 30s and a point of light. . .at last, God whispered a call to my heart, confirmed by Scripture. Through the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel, He said to me “bind up the injured and strengthen the weak.” He led me to study pastoral care to women at Western Seminary, Portland, and receive additional training from the National Association of Nouthetic counselors. As God comforted me, now I comfort others.

Speaking in front of people weakened my knees then God nudged me and said to my heart,
“Tell your story, Lucy.” And so my speaking ministry began. Nowadays – by God’s power,

I wrote three health books in the 1990s, selling 150,000 copies; then storm clouds gathered. Our newly adopted baby had significant developmental delay. I prayed, “Lord, will I ever write another book?”and hoped for a “Yes,” not for me but for John, because if God gave a nod then I knew my little guy would be okay. And he is. He’s my miracle child. But that’s another story.
God used my break from writing to heal broken places in my own life. In addition to blog posts, articles, eReports and eBooks, I’m finishing Beautiful Warrior: You Are Who God Says You Are. . .Even When Life Gets Ugly.
and – shocking to some folks – a black belt in karate.
At my black belt test God gave me a faith test: to proclaim Christ or take the safe route. Read what I did in this blog post.
